Brazil Fruit Exports - 25% growth...

The Brazilian fruit exports grew 25% in the last five years. In 2006, the sector generated U.S. $ 700 thousand, that number reached more than $ 875,000 in 2010.  A cooperative of apple growers In Santa Catarina (SC) state has been increasing in participation in external markets, in partnership with the Disney brand in the United States. In 2010, Brazil produced about 800 tons of apples. That number is up 15% higher than in 2009.

The strong regions for fruits in Brazil are in the north, and predominant state in the north of Brazil is Rio Grande do Norte as well the apples in the south region.
